Holidays on the go with your little one

Posted December 19, 2011 by Sally. Filed under Blog.

Leaving your house to visit family or friends with your little one this holiday season?  Here are a few things you squeeze into the car (along with all of the gifts and food!) to make your trip easier for the whole family.

A place to sleep:
If planning to spend the night in someone else’s house or a hotel, or even just the day away from home, having a place for your little one to sleep is very important.  And that place should be somewhere he or she is comfortable.  The Babyhome Dream is perfect.  Not only does it fold up easily for travel and come with its own travel bag, the cot has three different leg positions allowing it to be stationary, on wheels or to rock your child to sleep.  Plus, it is very stylish and comes in seven great colors.

A place to eat:
Don’t want to lug your highchair along with you (or don’t have room)?  Your child still needs a way to be able to join you at the table.  Check out the Grow-up!, a versatile booster seat from Mutsy that is easy to take anywhere.  It comes in 6 trendy color combinations, has a flexible base that is very comfortable as well as a 5-point harness to keep your child from squirming away from the table.

A place to get clean:
Instead of lugging around a tub to bathe your child on the road, try the smaller, easier to carry Baby Bath Support from Jahgoo.  It is lightweight and fits into any adult bath or sink easily.  It has suction cups on the bottom for stability and looks great.

For those dark, unfamiliar nights:
New places can be scary – even for us adults – but they don’t have to be.  Bring Gus along with you to ward off the monsters in the closet and help your child fall asleep.  The cute and huggable nightlight from BabyZoo has a built-in timer, so there is no need to turn it off.  Plus, your little one can turn it on himself by simply pushing on Gus’s shell.

Being away from home in an unfamiliar place can be challenging for both parents and children, but with these items, it doesn’t have to be.
